FPGA Design (closed)
In this highly visible role, you will support various aspects of CMOS image sensor camera technology including design, debug, and verification of FPGAs and circuit boards for reference designs, demo systems, emulation platforms and characterization systems. Candidates need to be able to quickly come up to speed on existing designs and have enough initiative to propose new projects. Experience going through full FPGA and board development cycles including concept, specification, design, layout support, bring-up, debug, documentation, and product support is required.
Typically requires 7+ years of relevant design experience.
Experience with high speed FPGA digital design and verification using Verilog. Candidate should have the ability to take high level design requirements and optimally implement into Xilinx and Altera FPGA architectures. Experience in optimizing synthesis (Synplify Pro) and place & route tools for performance is also required. Experience with FPGA design for ASIC emulation is a plus. Unix shell and Perl scripting a plus.
In addition, experience with high speed board design techniques, good understanding of digital and analog design, and hands-on lab debug of FPGA based systems is required.
Familiar with lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, etc…
Ability to mentor junior engineers.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
BSEE (MSEE preferred)
