Our client, an EPC company supporting the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a Rotating Equipment Specialist to join their team either as a contractor or on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities Include:

• Specify, select and review designers of complex rotating equipment, auxiliary equipment and systems
• Fill data sheets and prepare requisition documents for Pumps, compressors, fans, and turbines
• Review proposals
• Compile technical bid evaluations
• Review and approve vendor documents
• Attend equipment tests
• Interface with Client, Suppliers and internal departments to proactively develop the rotating equipment designs, selections, and interface requirements with these stakeholders
• Coordinate with Process group, Purchasing, Vendors, and Piping/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil groups for completion of their design around the rotating equipment in question
• Monitor and expedite vendor document completion and progress
• Conform to all appropriate Procedures and guidelines, API standards, and Client standards

Qualifications Include:

• A recognized engineering degree, technical school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Broad progressive work experience of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines and engines
• Experience and exposure to systems start-up, field engineering or plant operation and maintenance in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants or engineering/construction firms would be an asset
• Excellent communications skills (Oral and Written)
• Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
