We currently have a Contract position for an Electrical drafter in Hopedale, MA

Candidate will work with engineers and designers on a variety of projects to transform initial rough designs and hand sketches into working documents using computer aided drafting (CAD) software.

They use AutoCAD 2000, light, 2005 & 2011.

Detail-oriented and self-motivated person with hands-on ability to get the job done, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work and communicate well with a variety of professionals in a collaborative atmosphere are expected for this position.

Must Have:

Candidate must be capable of preparing multiple view drawings, detail drawings, electrical schematics, block diagrams and technical illustrations.  Ability to organize complete system drawing packages and evaluate the impact of design changes. Drawings include complex design features that require considerable drafting skill and experience to visualize and portray.  Must have the skills to review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established client specifications and standards.  Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electric power industry are a plus.

Must be self motivated.  Their current drafter is too slow and needs to be told multiple times to do things.

Minimum 3 years experience working with AutoCAD drafting software.  Preferably in the power/electrical engineering drawings
