Job Description

Manages wide-scale projects to review business processes and related areas by applying comprehensive Lean Six Sigma Black Belt principles and practices to improve products, quality, efficiency, financials, marketing, sales, and operations.  Responsibilities may include managing project development, working with multiple departments, and implementing projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

Eight years of progressive professional experience within a functional area, including five years of black belt experience. Master Black Belt Certification a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field pertaining to industry and projects; preferably a Master’s degree

Managing multiple large projects;

Training and mentoring staff;

Experience applying comprehensive Lean Six Sigma Black Belt principles and practices as primary job function desired;

Developing and implementing comprehensive processes and operations;

Applying advanced quality management principles and practices;

Working at an advanced competence level using Minitab or other statistical software;

Identifying and resolving product and operational problems and inefficiencies in manufacturing environment strongly desired;

Analyzing various forms of qualitative and quantitative information;

Working with senior management;

Facilitating change with several groups across various functions;

PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the development of project objectives, such as defining project requirements, scope, resources, team members, tasks, and identifying project owners; receives direction from management when required.

Manages multiple groups and teams across the division or company in the review and analysis of business processes to ensure operational or product quality, efficiency, and improvement.

Applies comprehensive advanced back belt principles and practices while overseeing or reviewing the flow of product or information, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, identifying quality or project inefficiencies, preparing findings, and developing recommendations and conclusions.

Facilitates meetings to review and examine project completion, problem resolution, obstacles, timelines, recommendations, and conclusions.

Develops wide-scale project proposals and recommendations, meets with management to facilitate project ownership, and works with stakeholders to initiate projects.

Manages the implementation of new processes or guidelines, gauges improvements, outlines and tracks savings, develops reports, and receives approval when required; facilitates activities through site management when required.

Develops appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with quality management principles and practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; monitors compliance with these areas.
