Oracle Portal Architect

Location: Wellesley/Quincy, MA

Duration: 5+ months

Our client is looking for a Senior-level Oracle Portal Architect needed to assist with a critical customer project to migrate the existing Oracle Portal 10.1.2 version and applications to Oracle Portal 11g. The candidate will be responsible to design the upgrade approach for several system components: Oracle Portal, CA Siteminder, OID. and applications migration into the new environment. Project will use standard life cycle pathway to production: DEV, UAT, PROD.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong experience in Oracle 11G Portal Application Server Administration

- Experience with Oracle 10g/11g Portals, OID, Weblogic, Apache, custom portlets, security, content management

- Linux shell scripting

- Apache install and configuration

- Develop procedures used in migration

- Document the solution implementation

Primary Responsibilities of Position:  A project team will be established to carry out the designed migration plan. This candidate will have primary responsibility to Architect and Design the migration / upgrade of Oracle Portal 10.1.2 to 11G, to include:

1. Upgrade Apache on Web Servers - Apache/2.0.63 to Apache 2.2

2. Upgrade PHP to 5.3.0

3. Load-balancer upgrades TBD

4. Portal 10.1.2 to Portal 11G migration

5. Upgrade Portal Application Tier or Middle Tier

- Metadata repository (10.1.0.5)

- Identity Management (OID/SSO)

- Metadata Repository (10.2.0.3)

- Migrate the Portal repository from windows to Linux RAC

- Upgrade this repository to 10.2.0.4

- Upgrade the Identity Management ( OID/SSO ) to 10.1.4.3

a. Upgrade the OID/SSO repository to 11.2.0.2 on the Linux RAC environment.

b. Upgrade the Portal middle tier from 10.1.2.0.2 to 11.1.1.3

c. Upgrade the OID from 10.1.4.3 to 11.1.1.2

d. Upgrade Portal repository on Linux RAC from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 to meet the Client configuration.

6. Post upgrade checkout/remediation

7. Apex Upgrade

- Apex upgrade from 3.1.2 to 4.0.2

- Application Testing

- Post-upgrade checkout/remediation
