Qualifications:

• BS Environmental Management, Biology, Chemistry
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the chemical industry
• Strong leadership skills
• Communication skills
• Professional certification
• Experience with PSM program implementation
• Technical knowledge of: OSHA, RCRA, DOT, CWA, CAA, TSCA regulations
• OSHA Process Safety Management implementation experience
• Behavior-based safety and root cause investigation technique experience
• Training and development skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Effective decision making abilities
• US citizen or permanent residency

Duties:

• Manage and maintain all operating permits; coordinate and complete governmental reports
• Management of PSM programs
• Identify and implement applicable OSHS, SARA, Title III, RCRA, CAA, CWA and other regulatory requirements
• Lead and partner with management when implementing new or updates HSE prevention and compliance programs
• Lead environmental compliance
• Coordinate the implementation of safety rules, policies, safe employee training programs
• Coordinate and manage compliance and injury prevention programs for all locations in the designated region
• Investigate accidents and environmental incidents to recommend policies, procedures, and/or other actions to correct problems or prevent future occurrence
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Conduct site HSE auditing
• Management of industrial hygiene programs
• Travel 10-15%
