Qualifications:

• BS in Safety or related
• 6+ years' experience working in Environmental compliance
• Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• US citizen or permanent resident

Duties:

• Near miss and incident investigation reporting system
• Maintain active, current knowledge about the trends in safety and the workplace
• Inspect and audit organization facilities and other division locations to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented
• Regulatory safety compliance
• Safety program development, implementation and review
• Preparation for and presentation at monthly safety meetings
• Plan, implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices
• Emergency response incident command
• Emergency response program development, implementation
• Job procedures development, implementation and review
• OSHA process safety management development, maintenance and review
• EPA risk management plan development
• New product review, classification, and approval
• Regulatory compliance
• MPCA above ground storage tank permit
• MPCA hazardous waste - compliance, coordination, and reporting
• MPCA Form R - yearly calculations and reporting
• MPCA water - compliance, coordination and reporting
• Industrial wastewater discharge permit compliance
• MSDS preparation, approval, and distribution oversight
• Review and revise business processes this position interacts with to increase efficiency and effectiveness
