Institutional securities brokerage firm in Miami, Florida has an immediate opening for a Sr. Java Software Engineer with client and server side development experience. Experience with trading systems or other aspects of the brokerage industry is a plus. The position involves working within a small group of IT professionals to develop new applications and enhance and support an order management system including the managing of exchange and client connectivity.

Key Position Qualifications:

1. Candidates must have in depth demonstrable experience in developing systems utilizing JAVA, relational data bases and high availability systems.
2. Candidates must have the ability to think, program, document and test programs and systems in an organized and creative fashion.
3. Experience in developing and optimizing SQL code and databases
