The Strategic Marketing Director is responsible for building the near and long term portfolio of solutions to alignwith the division's strategic plan. This individual proactively works with senior management to identify, analyzeand build business solutions that may be sourced through acquisition, licensing, co-development, internaldevelopment, and distribution opportunities.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdentifies and analyzes front end opportunities to feed the development pipeline and achieve strategic plantargets.Partner with the Product Development Strategic Director to assess market opportunities and technology solutionsfor viability within the division's portfolio.Build and test new business model solutions that are mission critical for partnership with our customers as theirneeds evolve.Support the Pipeline planning process. Ensure the marketing organization understands and embraces the process.Commercial lead for the strategic planning process.Build deep industry knowledge and relationships to stay abreast of the current industry trends and identifypotential opportunities.Provide strategic direction to Business Development, Product Development, Clinical and Scientific Affairs, aligningthem in support of the division#s strategic plan.Assess business opportunities as they arise from Business development or external sources.
