Description

• Deploy NetIQ agents and modules, manually and from NetIQ deployment services
• Deploy and test knowledge script monitors using NetIQ Operating Console and Control Center
• Develop performance and metrics reports using NetIQ Analysis Center
• Work with end-users to gather monitoring requirements
• Document monitor settings and configuration
• Support and troubleshoot NetIQ monitors and NetIQ software
• Escalate and interact with vendor to support complex issues
• Maintain and update procedure and process documentations
• Work with team lead to define and enhance IT monitoring policies and procedures
• Update and maintain NetIQ Aegis workflows
• Work independently and in a team environment (same team and cross-functional teams)

Required Skills

• 2-3 years of experience supporting IT monitoring using NetIQ AppManager software
• 3+ years of experience administering and supporting Windows Server 2003 and/or 2008 server operating system
• 3+ years experience working in an enterprise or large complex IT environment
• Experience working for financial services or banking organization is a plus
• Experience working with NetIQ Aegis and developing process workflows is a plus
• Experience working with NetIQ Analysis Center to create performance and metric reports is a plus
• TCP/IP network knowledge, basic troubleshooting skills
• Good Microsoft Office skills with Word, Excel, Visio and Project
• Good troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent problem resolution skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage detailed tasks efficiently and effectively
• Strong documentation skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Scripting experience with VBScript, PowerShell or Perl is a plus
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, IIS, SharePoint is a plus
• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of other monitoring solutions such as Nagios and HP OpenView is a plus
