Evaporation Superintendent (closed)
With more than one hundred years of mining experience, our client offers a comprehensive range of goods and services for agriculture and industry and employs more than 14,000 people globally. Building their workforce to support its development and ongoing operations expected in 2015, our client is now in need of an Evaporation Production Superintendent.
This person will be responsible for all aspects of the solution evaporation, salt handling and brine clarification production area.
The Role:

Set, monitor and adjust area targets for production, availability, safety and, environment;

Be responsible for budgeting and cost control of evaporation area;

Identify and communicate requirements for debottlenecking, continuous improvement and capital upgrades;

Organize and schedule area maintenance activities;

Help with inspections and equipment troubleshooting;

Provide guidance to the Shift Foremen, Area Operators and, Trainer and assist in the creation of an Area Operator Training manual;

Be responsible for Lockout/Tagout duties; and
-
Provide design input in collaboration with Project Area and Discipline Managers.
You and Your Experience:
-
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;

Ideally you have your P.Eng. status however we will accept Engineer-in-Training status with APEGS;

You have a minimum of 5 years experience with heavy industrial work;

You have a positive attitude and the ability to handle adversity;

You have proven experience with leadership and possess excellent communications skills; and
-
Having potash and/or evaporation experience would be an excellent asset.
