Preparation of federal, state and local tax returns for the HET and its subsidiaries.
Perform research necessary to support positions taken in the federal and state tax returns.
Gather information requested by the Internal Revenue Service or state tax authorities for audits and organize the information in the appropriate format for presentation to these agencies.
Perform research, as directed, on special projects related to other internal department requests, tax department corporate tax planning projects, and positions taken in response to federal and state tax audits.
Prepare estimated tax payments quarterly.
Prepare workpapers supporting the annual tax provision calculation.
Respond to internal and external requests for tax information and forms without prompting and keeping supervisors and/or department management informed of requests and information provided.
Prepare detail support schedules required for the consolidated federal and state tax returns.
