O’Connell is seeking a Maintenance Trainer to join our team.  This is a full time staff position which can be staffed locally or on a rotational, fly-in-fly out basis.  If you are an experienced and energetic individual looking for a challenging and rewarding career, then seize this opportunity to work in our progressive organization.

Duties

As the Maintenance Trainer you will be responsible for establishing and setting up a structured internal training program for the all craft maintenance personnel. Other duties include but are not limited to:

-          Promoting a Health and Safe work environment

-          Provide on the job training for mechanics, welders and other maintenance personnel

-          Identifying possible external training resources/provides

-          Scheduling training

-          Acting as a coach and mentor

Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification along with combined experience working as a trainer and mentor to maintenance personnel. In addition, the candidate should have:

-          5-10 years working as a heavy equipment mechanic in a heavy civil environment

-          Familiar with establishing and offering training programs for maintenance personnel
