PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
*Provides primary financial support, analysis, and guidance for the Sales Line of business.
Duties include analyzing financial data, producing and interpreting reports for Senior and Executive management review, and support and execution of software transactions. Directly supports the Financial Director by providing him/her critical financial data to facilitate strategic planning and execution. This position also provides support, leadership and direction to the other financial analysts within the team and outside of the team (including but not limited to the consulting and maintenance finance team, accounts receivable, human resources, and administrative staff in the group).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Responsible for ensuring that the P&L Statement for the line of business or region accurately reflects the financial performance of the organization.
Acts as primary financial consultant for line of business or regional senior and mid level management on accounting and finance issues and opportunities.
Oversee the preparation and analysis of the Key Performance Indicators. * Produce top-level schedules. * Review financial package and understand trends.
Responsible for the monthly close process – reviewing financial results to ensure in accordance with SAP Accouting policies.
Identify areas of focus to improve operating and financial results (I.e. DSO, Customer Satisfaction, revenue, expenses).
Deal Support, including Revenue Recognition, Pricing, and Deal Structuring/modeling Other Ad Hoc Analysis/Projects
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s Degree
Specific areas of specialization:
Accounting, Finance, Business
Specific licenses, certifications or registrations required:MBA and/or CPA preferred
8 + years experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
Strong analytical and leadership skills
Technical accounting background including software revenue recognition (preferred)
Experience in executive presentations and strong Microsoft Excel experience
Ability to manage and complete various projects and tasks simultaneously
Advanced problem solving skills
Strong work ethic
