DevOps Engineer for a startup in San Jose

Must have the ability to think and solve problems

Work independently and within a team

Strong written and verbal communication skills

5+ years experience in a 24/7 Unix/Linux environment

Fluency in one or more programming experiences a must:  Perl,PHP,Python,Ruby

Familiarity with common open source data layer technology: MySQL, PostreSQL, NoSQL, Redis, Cassandra

Build tools to automate and manage the Unix environment that sit on top of Puppet, Chef, and Kickstart

Familiarity with virtualization tools (preferably Xen)

Enjoy workday diversity, not all of which is interrupt driven

Participate in an on-call rotation
