The program team will carry out 2 key sets of activities:

1. Build an Activity Based Costing model to measure and analyze business activities and volumes that drive workload and cost to serve.

2. Collect data across the organization to facilitate model development; ultimately understanding cost structures and behaviors by activity and how they map to services provided to clients.

The Business Analyst role focuses on data collection activities that will facilitate the costing model: conducting interviews, documenting observations in data collection templates, ensuring consistency in activity and service definitions across functional and geographical organizations, and validating model outputs with interview subjects. In validation, the Business Analyst will review the data and identify outlying or suspect results and attempt to explain them.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Facilitating working sessions with business and functional representatives to gather and validate relevant input.

Defining and documenting a consistent GTS activity based management approach that supports the analytics needs of business, operations, client-facing and IT groups.

Ensuring common application of the approach across multiple data collection and modeling exercises.

Acting as the 'translator' between detailed modeling teams and end users.

Proactively identifying opportunities to leverage cost model-produced data in business decision making or extensions of cost analyses.

Developing communications around future enhancements and potential users of ABM data.

Required Skills

A proven track record with a least 5-8 years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge and working experience across products and functions of GTS (e.g., Custody, Payments, Operations, Product Management, etc.)

Understanding of Activity Based Management (ABM) principles, methodologies, practices and processes.

Working knowledge of Oracle financial applications, especially PeopleSoft ABM.

Working knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools, such as Cognos reporting.

Execptional analytical skills and attention to detail, combined with an ability to deliver analyses in a concise and logical manner.

Extensive business analysis experience, including knowledge of managerial accounting principles.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities, deliver on numerous deliverables simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Access and MS Excel.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Superior organizational abilities.

Strong team player.

Minimum Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics or a related field of study.

Minimum Prior Work Experience Requirements

5-8 years experience
