CNC Machinist, Caro, MI (48723)

-Contract opportunity; potential for direct hire.

-7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday ? Friday; occasional Saturday hours may be expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Perform machining for prototype parts for automotive and government / defense projects.

-Assist with basic CNC machine programming.

-Will work primarily with programming CNC lathes to create prototype pieces.

-High level of repetition; program, set up, operation, inspection, teardown and rebuilding.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
-3 years of machining experience (lathe experience strongly preferred).

-1 year of basic CNC programming exposure (G + M code).

-Proficiency with reading blueprints and using precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

-Candidate must have stable work history.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

-2+ years of CNC programming proficiency.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-High School diploma required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

-Some college coursework with a technical focus.
