DATABASE ANALYST
Qualifications: Required: • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, MIS, Computer Information Systems, Business or related field • Advanced in MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Word, MS Access, Visual Basic (VB, VBA) • Advanced relational database skills including writing Oracle SQL and MS Access queries; analyze, understand and modify existing queries. Ability to extract and analyze data and present it in a format that is easily understood by end-users. • Knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, PLSQL and TOAD • Experience building and presenting reports in Tableau or other business intelligence or data visualization tools • Ability to deal with ambiguity • Ability to lead cross functional teams • Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Preferred: • Knowledge of energy, climate planning and greenhouse gas management fields • Experience building and presenting data visualizations
Responsibilities: This Analyst will work cross- functionally with various departments utilizing data to engage local government customers and community stakeholders. The Analyst will assess client data needs, leverage data from various departments, prototype reports, gather user feedback and, finally, implement interactive reports that will help users make strategic and tactical decisions to better serve customers. The Analyst will work with other departments to analyze, modify, and write Oracle SQL queries then extract data to present in Tableau reports. This Analyst will also act as a point of coordination to evaluate and fulfill recurring requests for data coming from Green Communities
