Fujitsu Canada’s Lean Practice is currently seeking a Lean Consultant for the BC Region based out of our Vancouver, BC or Victoria, BC offices
Start date: ~ July 2012
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development
- Actively participate in business development activities in BC (promotional activities, conferences, client meetings and presentations, etc.)
- Optimize the synergies with the BC business development workforce as well as with the other Fujitsu Canadian offices
- Participate in the bid process for Lean initiatives in BC (opportunity analysis, strategic plan elaboration, financial strategy and coordination, bid quality review, etc.)
Lean Project Delivery
- Assuming the role of Lean Client Executive and Client Manager when appropriate
- Assuming the role of Lean SME Consultant to client executive teams and to Fujitsu delivery project managers
- Assuming the role of Lean Strategic Consultant for other Fujitsu Lean consultants assigned to projects
- Deliver Lean activities (training, diagnosis, facilitates strategic sessions, 3P workshop, Kaizen strategic and regular workshops, and implementation support)
- Manage projects including planning, quality, budgets, deliverables, KPI's, and client relationships
MUST-HAVES:
- Ten (10)+ years of relevant experience in government and service
- University training in Engineering or Operations Management
- Five (5)+ years demonstrating expertise and applied experience in Lean and/or Lean Six Sigma projects
- Certification in Lean or Lean Six Sigma (Master Black Belt or Black Belt or Green Belt)
- Skilled in organizational development and financial management
- Experience in management and consulting
- Customer oriented and Adept at interpersonal communication and facilitation
- Excellent management and leadership capabilities
- Proven success in exhibiting creativity, adaptability, resourcefulness and flexibility
- Travel required
