Position Overview

Fast growing high technology company is Houston is expanding their systems development team and is looking for a junior to mid-level C++ developer.  This position will be a key member of an application design and development and have two primary roles; 1) supporting the existing version of the software and 2) planning, architecting, designing, programming and implementing the next generation of the company’s flagship software.

The company’s software uses leading edge technologies; integrating mobile and GPS based technologies with a dynamic and configuration driven C++/.NET application architecture to deliver advanced application solutions.  This position will be directly involved in all aspects of the development efforts – from requirements analysis through technical design, programming, testing, and implementation.  The small size of the development team ensures significant opportunities for technical and career growth.

Skills and Experience

• 3+ years C++ programming experience
• Demonstrated experience using the C++ Standard Template Library (STL)
• 3+ years SQL programming experience
• Demonstrated experience with object oriented design (OOD) and development (OOP) concepts
• Desired experience using open source class libraries (e.g. Boost)
• Desired experience with programming scripts (e.g., CGI)
• Desired experience with full lifecycle (SDLC) projects
• Desired experience with software version control concepts and tools
