Partner Staffing is currently working to find a talented Electrical Technologist/Designer - Checker. Our Client is one of Alberta's most respected independent Engineering Consulting organizations.

Description

Your key responsibility is to ensure that all controls and electrical drawings are correct. You will check completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to codes, regulations, and standards, procedures, specifications, critical interface compatibility, productibility aspects, and dimensional accuracy of calculations. Check for conformity to design/drafting standards, design specifications, economy of fabrication, and identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies. Recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

Requirements

• You must have 3 - 5 years experience as a Design/Checker with in O&G facilities and be very familiar with all the applicable codes and regulations. You will have experience with control systems in an upstream O&G facility.
• You will have both low voltage and medium voltage experience.
• You will have design experience for control systems and instrumentation systems.
• You will be familiar with reviewing vendor drawing and ensuring drawings fit the project scope
