Our client is a global engineering, consulting and construction company specializing in infrastructure development in energy, water, telecommunications, federal, management consulting and environmental markets.

They require a Marine Energy/renewable Engineer with 1-5 years experience to join the marine energy (wave and tidal, not offshore wind) team.

Requirements:
Marine, Mechanical or Structural Engineering Degree, 2:1 minimum;
Minimum 6 months work experience in the wave and tidal sector, or a relevant course/placement/university dissertation;
Proven interest in working in the marine renewables sector long-term;
English as a first language or as a completely fluent speaker and writer;
Highly numerate and well developed time management skills;
Well developed report writing skills;
Self starter with ability to think innovatively;
Able to work independently as well as in a team;
Location in either Redhill, Chester or Glasgow.

Other ideal attributes:
Previous consultancy or marine energy technology development experience;
Ability to work on several projects concurrently;
Previous business development experience;
Experience of working on projects for DECC, Carbon Trust, Scottish Govt etc., and technology developers;
Knowledge of other renewables sectors, especially biomass;
Advanced knowledge of Excel including visual basic programming;
Knowledge of structural design packages;
Knowledge of Matlab or similar codes;
