Position

• Assess lab configurations and available test tools to develop nodal and system level test plans
• Responsible for configuring lab hardware equipment and test equipment
• Responsible for installing OS, applications and tool packages on lab hardware systems

Conduct the following testing - 

• System hardware burn-in testing 
• System performance 
• Load testing
• Robustness testing
• Software installation and rollback 
• End to End testing using standard test equipment 
• System integration test
• Interface closely with QA and Development teams to debug problems and test solutions
• Responsible for developing system level test report at the end of test cycles
• Interface closely with the development groups, providing input on functionality and design, and assisting in functional testing
• Work closely with the Operations group providing the first-line interface to engineering

Experience

• BS in Electrical Engineering 
• 5 – 8 years of testing and QA experience. (telecom experience preferred) 
• GSM, UMTS wireless telecom experience 
• Knowledge of telecom interfaces
• Experience testing in LINUX and Solaris environment
• Experience in test script development using Catapult MGTS simulator and/or Tektronix systems
• Demonstrated experience in system Integration testing and performance testing
• Experience in QA life cycle, from test plan, test execution, to reporting defects 
• Knowledge of software development models and their impact to testing 
• Strong Experience in networking, TCP/IP, Routing and SS7 and SIGTRAN 
• Hands-on experience of wireless standards/protocols preferably GSM and/or UMTS 
• Strong problem solving skills 
• Good organizational and documentation skills
• Working knowledge of GSM, UMTS technology is preferred
• Knowledgeable in Shell, Unix, Linux is preferred
• Experienced with INET Spectra, Catapult MGTS is preferred
