Sr. Systems Engineer (closed)
This position is responsible for a variety of advanced engineering assignments. Employee understands and applies good system engineering concepts and practices, has a thorough understanding of engineering development and verification concepts throughout the complete software lifecycle, and follows established policies and procedures to complete work assignments.
Successful candidate will possess:
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Experience with the development and formal verification of avionics software systems
- Ability to define and develop system requirements
- Experience with embedded real-time development and verification for software systems developed to DO-178B Level C or higherAbility to generate system architecture
- Ability to create system test plans, cases, and procedures
- Broad knowledge of avionic systems
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong skills for identifying and managing risk
- Ability to follow good engineering processes
- Desire to participate in process improvement
- Desire to continually improve the quality and quantity of work
- Knowledge of the SEI CMMI processes and procedures
- Understanding of systems development under ARP-4754A is a plus
- INCOSE CSEP certification is a plus
- Experience with Model Based Development tools is a plus
Special Requirements:
Provide customer support and assistanceSupport various amounts of overtime depending on project needsTravel as needed
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, avionics/aeronautics, or related field.5+ years of Systems Engineering experience preferably in real time embedded systems.
