Our client a leading designer and manufacturer of Power Semiconductor Assemblies have asked our help in finding a Field Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager to join their team covering the Midlands and North of England.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both business development and account management in the Midlands and the North of England. Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills combined with a strong technical understanding are essential requirements of the role.

You will be an accomplished and proven developer of new business, with excellent account management skills gained either from an OEM or a distribution background.

Your ability to build strong relationships to both maintain and grow existing business is key. The successful candidate will have a mature approach, be self motivated reliable and tenacious. You must be able to recognise opportunities for creating new business from sales leads and through your own knowledge and efforts.

Our client is the largest UK manufacturer of power rectifier assemblies in thyristor, diode and IGBT technologies. These products are used, for example, in motor control, power supply, battery charging, electro-plating, traction and welding equipment. It is expected that you will be familiar with these industries whilst also understanding the dynamics of the Distribution Industry and recognising opportunities for our supporting product lines including Power Semiconductors, Inductors, Magnetics, Fuses, and Power Controllers.

The successful candidate is likely to be formally qualified in Electronics Engineering but we also welcome applications from experienced Sales Professionals with the drive and enthusiasm to succeed.
