Job Description

The Talent Sourcer will foster and cultivate relationships with key candidates and large-scale talent pools to deliver upon both immediate short-term needs and strategic long-term networks. A strong candidate for this role should demonstrate the ability to do more than simple name generation, but rather, the capability to develop, execute against, and assess the productivity of comprehensive search and social media strategies.

Job responsibilities:

Act as our IEB Sourcing SME by managing and training our talent sourcing resources and by sharing creative sourcing skills among the broader staffing teamProactively identify key talent pools by practicing innovative techniques and developing candidate generation strategies for qualified candidatesEngage with staffing managers and staffing consultants to identify top engagement opportunities to assist in the growth of IEB employment brand and candidate pipeline, and to effectively prioritize sourcing programs to optimize activities to achieve highest impact Partner with staffing PM to inform social media strategies to market roles, attract talent and build online communities Develop and partner with staffing PM to execute a diversity outreach program that will lead to a pipeline of qualified candidatesSource candidates to generate pipeline for specific onsite, offsite and virtual events Advise leadership on strategic talent market issues, trends, and talent availability related to IEB businesses, Microsoft, & key competitorsBuild a substantial competitive intelligence knowledge base of desired areas, companies, etc.Maintain partnership and utilization of resources from centralized Global Talent Lab & DRIVE teamsDrive team innovation through the introduction of new external sourcing tools; train team on tools when appropriateEngage outside vendors to maximize investment in and effective use of sourcing toolsAct as a SME across staffing to share learnings on external recruiting techniques, sourcing tools, and market and competitive intelligence effortsTrack prospects in a prospect tracking tool and report metrics for pipeline, conversions, and hiresBuild healthy talent community that includes a high volume of targeted candidates Cultivate relationship with key candidates and specific talent sets, defined according to long-term initiatives and direction of the organization & client businesses.

Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.7+ years of sourcing experience for core tech roles in software industry3+ years working with social media in some capacity, including blogging and/or social networksDeep passion and expertise in sourcing for passive candidates using nontraditional toolsAbility and experience to do in-depth research and gather market intelligenceAbility to effectively interface and develop internal partnerships and collaborative opportunitiesAbility to meet standard measurements of success for staffing such as, annual hiring and pipeline conversion goalsStrong communication skills, particularly as an author of online communications, as well as a presenter for training and/or speaking on behalf of IEB, specifically as it relates to staffing innovationDemonstrated ability to deliver a balance of quality as well as quantity candidates and hires Hands-on experience with employment brand community messaging on a grassroots level to drive positive perceptionEffective strategic thinking, sourcing skills, problem solving, cross group collaboration, and oral/written/persuasive communication skills are necessary
