ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Works under the general supervision of an assigned IT manager and is responsible for assisting in the overall development and maintenance of company Java applications and all internet and intranet web sites and all interface programs that are written in a mixture of Java and C.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

·         Provide web support for our corporate Intranet/Internet customers in the areas of web software products installs, content management, web application problem resolution and support.  Including maintaining Linux servers running Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Tomcat.

·         Perform additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned from time to time.

·         The successful candidate will be a highly motivated learner who is capable of working with a diverse workforce and can work with minimal supervision.  This individual will work closely with all members of the IT support team.

·          Requires verbal and written communications skills, particularly to speak clearly and concisely to technical staff, outside contacts, and company employees at all levels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field or an Associate’s degree in computer Science and 1 to 5 years experience in the design and development of web sites; or any combination of education and experience which enables one to perform the essential job functions.  At least 1 years of experience utilizing the Java programming language. 

Experience in the following technologies is required:

• Struts 2
• Spring
• Hibernate / JPA
• Servlets
• JDBC
• JQuery
• AJAX

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work extra hours when necessary. Some travel may be necessary.
