Job Description

Job Title : Business Analyst
Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
Necessary Skills : ¨       Develop and maintain understanding of:
-          Business processes, systems and objectives;
-          Industry-wide practices and trends in IT solutions for business area and related processes; and
-          Mainstream systems development methodologies and analysis techniques.
 
¨       Perform analysis during design, development and implementation of change and process redesign projects, working with project managers to ensure that requirements are appropriately met.  
¨       Represent the business during the development phase.  Ensure that solutions concentrate on aspects of business need that are considered to be of highest priority by the business.  Act as a change agent on software development projects as assigned.
¨       Work with other IT enabled change projects in the same program to ensure solution designs are interoperable and integrated
¨       Work with project managers and technical leads to ensure that user requirements are accurately transformed into technical specifications.
¨       Excellent working knowledge of iQMS and ability to ensure validation is maintained and demonstrated through quality iQMS documentation.

Desired Skills
¨       Broad understanding of clinical data standards and definitions (variables, datasets, CRF, eCRF)
¨       Strong personal effectiveness, communications, presentation and influencing skills
¨       Ability to build and maintain business process models, and lead process simplification discussion
¨       Ability to determine and define data migration and archiving requirements
¨       Ability to work independently with R&D management and senior staff.
¨       Knowledge of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Sharepoint environments advantageous

Roles & Responsibilities : ¨       To work with business groups and IT projects to identify opportunities to improve business processes and performance by effectively exploiting information technology to meet business objectives. 
¨       To clearly define and document business requirements, thereby providing a strong foundation from which technical specifications can be derived.
¨       To review test cases and ensure full end to end traceability of requirements through testing.
Generic  / Managerial Skills : ¨       Must consider both local and global business needs
¨       Level of engagement with clients may cross multiple business or geographic areas
¨       Must develop and maintain strong working relationships with different levels of management and staff in both late stage development business area(s) and IT partners.
¨       Must be able to analyse and represent the design decisions made at project level to a broader program of work
¨       Conducts scoping and analysis for transnational projects that will impact several thousand business users.
