We're searching for an Accounting Manager for our client in Deland, FL.
Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records, such as payables, receivables, cash receipts, inventory, sales, and payroll.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compiles composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management or government agencies.
- Supervises and participates in preparing and auditing materials requiring analyses of supporting documents and ensures that all entries are entered into the system properly.
- Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures.
- Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, and customers.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates and is responsible for the application of general accounting theory.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the direction and supervision of two or more accounting employees.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
o Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s Degree preferred
o Minimum of 5 years work experience in accounting or related financial field is required
o Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is desired
Computer Skills
o To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in all MS Office products, with expert skills in Excel
o QuickBooks, Access, and Salesforce.com knowledge is desired

o Must be detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills
o Must have strong multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills, interfacing with all levels of the organization
o Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion due to exposure to sensitive company information
