Currently, we are seeking a Top-Notch Microsoft SQL Server DBA that would enjoy working for our client, located in Alpharetta, in a Mission Critical, 24/7 large, production environment 

SQL Server DBA Position Responsibilities:

• Requires 24x7 production support of SQL Clustered Server databases/applications
• Ability to design both logical and physical Clustered Server environment including SAN, OS and DB Engine configuration standards
• Maintain Data integrity through backup and recovery utilities; Query Optimization; Database tuning; Coding Triggers, Complex Views, Indexes and Stored Procedures
• Comprehensive knowledge of database administration (design, installation & troubleshooting) of current MS SQL Server, and Windows Server Enterprise platforms.
• Systems administration on operation systems with the Windows server family (Windows 2000, Windows 2003/2008 Enterprise Clustered Environments).
• Perform indexes and stored procedure tuning; handle security, backups and recovery
• Programming using SQL and Windows scripting tool
• Extremely detail-oriented and able to follow standard methodologies for troubleshooting and development
• Implementation and troubleshooting of MySQL
• Experienced in SQL Reporting

SQL Server DBA requires 10 years related industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years building and managing SQL The SQL Server DBA will have a Minimum of 5 years SQL programming experience building high volume, mission critical, data-driven applications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL Server : Full lifecycle development of complex system and application software
• SQL Server DBA must have a Bachelors Degree in MIS or CIS or equivalent job experience
• Database performance and optimization experience with very large databases utilizing SAN storage
• Experience working with a Clustered Server database environment
• Ability to develop and implement data security guidelines while making data available to those authorized to have access Ability to ensure the technical integrity of corporate databases by protecting against the loss or misuse or information and designing backup/recovery strategies Ability to provide database design, implementation and performance tuning consulting services Ability to understand the business needs and develop effective, scalable and maintainable database instances to meet the business requirements deadlines and deliverables
• Industry-leading knowledge of high volume complex SQL Server database environments
• Expert working knowledge of the physical data model design and DDL
• SQL Server 2008/2005/2000 experience, SSIS/DTS programming
• Table and index design with optimization in high volume batch load environments
• Experience with partitioning, mirroring and replication
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as .NET / C# or others
• Creating SQL Server extended stored procedures
• Experience with ODBC and ADO.NET, My SQL

SQL Server DBA Pluses
