India and Arabia Travel Specialist (closed)
Our client is a leading player in the luxury, tailor-made travel market and is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic India and Arabia Specialist to join their fun, friendly London team.
With a passion for travel and infectious enthusiasm for Indian and Arabia destinations the successful candidate will be responsible for selling tailor-made, high end travel to a wide range of guests and ensuring their every need is met. Enthusiasm for, and firsthand knowledge of, this specialist destination area is essential as our client prides themselves on offering top class advice and service second to none in order to deliver truly outstanding holidays.
An excellent package with a highly competitive base salary and a raft of additional benefits and bonuses awaits a candidate with a thorough knowledge of Indian and Arabia travel destinations. Areas covered include Bhutan, Dubai, Egypt, India, Jordan, the Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Oman, Sri Lanka and Tunisia and so personal travel to some of these areas is prerequisite – please include a full travel profile with your application stating dates and destinations travelled to/lived in.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong knowledge of, and passion for, the region to join a friendly, busy team in the London office and work for a highly respected travel brand. Previous experience selling luxury holidays would be a distinct advantage but NOT essential -knowledge of the region and a strong customer focus is of paramount importance.
Candidate Requirements
Excellent experience, knowledge of, and passion for Indian and Arabia destinations
Travel experience in at least some of the above countries (please provide details)
Strong customer service focus, nothing is too much trouble
Proven sales ability
IT literate ideally with GDS experience
Tour operating background or experience in up-market travel would be a distinct advantage
Highly eloquent with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a high level of English
Enthusiastic and polite telephone manner
Extremely well organised with strong time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
A passion for travel and the region
Desire to provide the best possible service
Remuneration & Hours of Work
Highly competitive base salary, bonus and excellent benefits package including travel benefits, subsidised private healthcare and contributory pension scheme
Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm with approx. 6 Saturdays per year on a rota basis and time off in lieu
