Qualitative Retail Researcher

Salary: up to £34,000

Permanent or 3-6 months contract

This is a great opportunity for qualitative researcher with a keen interest in retail.

We’re on the lookout for someone who has a strong interest in retail to be involved in a major retailer’s UK store evaluation programme. This project covers everything from consumer satisfaction, store design and employee research and would suit someone who is interested in producing actionable findings which are key to the client’s future business strategy.

The right candidate must have good report writing skills and an ability to quickly understand and form business strategies. Although part of a supportive team, we require someone who enjoys and is confident at managing their own projects.

The role involves extensive UK travel (with a limited amount of fieldwork each week) and therefore a clean driving licence would be beneficial.

Previous experience of running groups is preferred but not essential as continuous training will be provided ‘on the job’ – therefore someone with a clientside/retail background looking to move agency side or quantitative researcher wishing to make the switch would also be welcome to apply. We're very open to different levels of experience in recruiting for this post, and we see enthusiasm for retail and flexibility as more important than specific expertise in this area.

The position would ideally be based in our Central London office, but we're also very open to the successful applicant working from home full or part time anywhere in the UK, assuming occasional meetings in London. We would also be happy to hear from anyone looking to fulfil this role on a short term contract basis.
