Apex is searching for a Business Objects reports developer for very prominent South Eastern financial institution in Columbus, GA.  This position will be 3 month contract to hire opportunity with very competitive salary range.  I have two positions! One junior-mid and one senior.  Referrals are welcome and rewarded with a referral bonus.

Vacation Time:  2 weeks after first year.

Credit Risk - Support different lines of business-- lending, credit, risk management, loan origination-

• User interfacing with internal business users for each line of business- will meet or talk with them to gather business requirements and document for reporting needs
• Working various systems based on this business units- so different ways of getting requirements, data, and creating reports

• List of project requests that come from lines of business for credit, lending and lines of bus
  • Different systems that facilitate loan origination, credit underwriting, etc. several loans systems
  • Back end data is fromSQL databases- SQL Server 2000, 2008
  • BO universes written for these systems to write various reports to support line of business
    • Sometimes have to write custom SQL reports because not able to write with BO
      • Use SQL Management studio for reports
• Sometimes have to write with Excel or VBA/VBA scripting when data is in Excel format and a BO Universe has not been created

SKILLS:

• Business Objects- 2-5years- just understanding of complex reports
  • BO web intelligence XIR2 or higher but pure BO is good
  • SQL
    • PREFERRED: SQL Server 2005, 2008- strong understanding of getting data/querying for data- NO SSRS/SSIS
    • MS Excel/Access/VBA scripting
      • Not that important but good to know in order manipulate some data
      • Reporting
        • PREFERED:  dashboards, scorecards, Xcelcius, Universe experience for reports- PLUS for future!
          • Familiar with functionality and capability of dashboards to begin helping with the business process
          • Dataware house is enterprise wide
• Financial experience- PREFERRED- just good to know banking lingo
