GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a full time engineer to develop features and functionality as part of Voice Applications team.  The candidate is expected to have a good understanding of the software development life cycle and possess some experience with developing applications using Java (preferred) or C++.  This person will be responsible for following design specifications in order to implement functionality.  The position interacts heavily with other software developers and test engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement features and functionality as assigned by senior engineers
Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) as appropriate to support deliverables.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
 Required:

Recent graduate with zero to six months of post-school experience
Experience with Java/J2EE development on Unix/Linux operating systems.
Strong communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing).
Demonstrated ability to work with other teams to resolve problems.
Strong troubleshooting skills
Desired:

A good understanding of software development practices.
Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.
Knowledge of the SIP protocol
Experience with LAMP technologies.
Experience developing with application servers such as OCCAS, WebLogic or WebSphere

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience
