Barcode Medication Administration Analyst VII
Permanent Role in California

Requirements:

Project analyst experience required
Hands-on Epic system analysis, build, testing, trouble shooting and implementation experience required
Epic Inpatient and Clinical Documentation (2009/2010 version), certification preferred
Clinical nursing experience in an inpatient and/or hospital outpatient department (HOD) preferred
Demonstrated Epic implementation experience in an integrated health care environment
Knowledge and experience with clinical and operational workflows related to medication administration
Experience documenting new processes and training clinical staff
Knowledge and experience developing a test plan and executing test scenarios related to the project build
Knowledge of Epic utilities, reports and maintenance processes
Ability to document build and processes to knowledge transfer to clinical, operational and support staff
Provide analysis, system expertise, and assistance with development processes to the Barcode Medication Administration team for successful implementation of the Barcode Medication Administration Information System at UCDHS
Lead meetings with stakeholders from pharmacy, clinicians, information systems and reporting. Document minutes, follow up steps, issues and key decisions
Systematically track project progress, identify and document issues, risks and barriers to success, communicate issues to Project Lead
Document current and future workflows related to Medication Administration for inpatient and HOD settings
Perform Barcode Medication Administration system build, analysis, testing, validation, documentation and training tasks
Assist in designing reports to monitor Barcode Medication Administration use and report outcomes of system implementation
Ensure test scenarios are adequately documented and thorough testing is performed
Document maintenance and monitoring processes to ensure business continuity during planned and unplanned downtime events
Provide documentation and training to transfer knowledge and operational support to the Pharmacy and Barcode Medication Administration Project Team
