Job Description:
Our client is looking for a QA Tester / Technical Writer. The QA Testing part of the job will involve testing and performing quality assurance on the products and components that come out of the Software Development department. The Technical Writing part of the job will require the applicant to be responsible for a number of ongoing technical writing projects, including software application user guides, "how-to" briefs, product specification datasheets, case studies and technical overviews. The breakdown of duties will be 70% QA Testing and 30% Technical Writing.

QA Responsibilities:

   : Development and design of test plans/test cases
   : Execution of test plans
   : Verifying that all functional/business requirements are met
   : Development and implementation of regression tests
   : Logging/reporting of software defects/test results
   : Provide internal post-implementation support for all deliverables

Technical Writer Responsibilities:

   : Writing/maintaining/updating software user guides
   : Creating product specification datasheets/white papers
   : Collection and recording of functional and business requirements for projects

Skills Required:

   : Minimum 2 years working as a QA Tester
   : Knowledge of methods and processes used in quality assurance of software programs
   : Knowledge and skills in SDLC
   : Knowledge and skills in modern test methodologies
   : Experience performing acceptance and regression based testing
   : Knowledge of workflow validation including performing Use Case tests
   : Business and functional requirements validation
   : Experience performing black-box testing
   : Experience performing end-to-end testing in an environment that includes IIS, .Net, MS SQL Server, and Web Services
   : Knowledge of SQL a plus
   : Experience in performing quality assurance of iOS, Android/Java, Windows Phone  based mobile applications a plus
   : Experience in performing quality assurance of software products with video integration (multicasting, unicasting, etc.) a plus
   : Some business analysis experience a plus
   : Creative writing skills, proper and correct grammar
   : Capability to transition easily between technical writing and QA testing
   : Page layout software and Photoshop experience a plus
   : Good written and oral communication skills
   : Proven problem solving skills and analytical ability
   : Other Requirements
         o The applicant should have prior experience working with teams
         o The applicant should be able to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks
