Job Description:
- Provide Oracle DBA support for Q2C / P360. This would include: Designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data and high transaction rates. Tasks also include capacity planning, security administration and user account maintenance. Problem resolution and on-call support will be required as part of 24x7 database support.

Required Skills
- Oracle DBA with 6+ years of hands on experience working in large environments (installation, configuration, monitoring, import/export, standby setup, back-up & restore using RMAN & user management).
- Working experience with performance tuning, using Oracle Enterprise Manager or any other types of tools, as well as be proficient at capacity monitoring & management capabilities.
- Possesses a very good understanding of database architectural design, modeling and development methodology.
- Mandatory Skills: Oracle/RAC DBA, Dataguard, Replication/Shareplex/Streams, Unix/Linux scripting and basic administration.
- Prior Verizon IT experience would be preferred.

Additional Job Information:
- Monday thru Friday 8:00 - 5:00 pm with occasional out of hours and weekends
- On call hours as needed
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends upon request to meet the demands of the program
- Vendor to provide PC with Verizon software standards
- Prior Verizon IT experience would be preferred
