The COMPANY
Stellar Recruitment is partnered with a privately-held Exploration and Production Company with significance in onshore unconventional resource projects consisting of tight gas sands, gas shales and coalbed methane. Due to a high-growth phase they are looking to hire a Sr. Reservoir Engineer in Denver, CO
The POSITION
As the Sr. Reservoir Engineer, reporting to the Reservoir and Development Manager, you oversee reservoir engineering project development and execution. Other duties include:
- Manage well test analysis, material balance, secondary recovery methods, performance analysis, fluid properties and volumetric recovery methods
- Perform field and screening studies of existing assets and potential acquisitions
- Acquire and analyse test data to define accurate reservoir characteristic
- Maintain project economics to insure compliance with budgets
- Execute AIRES software for reserve reporting and economic calculations
- Liaise with geosciences, drilling, production and land professional
The QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering, other disciplines considered
- 10+ years upstream oil and gas petroleum engineering experience
- Expertise with economic evaluation and reserve assessments of exploration, development drilling, workover and production optimization projects
- Familiarity with volumetric calculations, decline curve reserve determination and material balance assessments
- Skills with reservoir simulation techniques considered a plus
