Our client in Stamford, CT is looking for a Sr. Java J2EE Developer for a 1 yr Contract.

Responsibilities:

- Work with our Tech Lead, Business Analysts, and Scientists/Mathematicians to deep dive into Requirements and Use Cases to identify gaps and perform analysis in order to start the creation of a technical solution

- “Hands on” participation in the design of the technical solution, including the creation of all required documentation

- “Hands on” coding during development of the software product using Java / J2EE, browser technologies such as AJAX or Comet, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, JMS / MQ messaging

- Design and implement repeatable unit tests

- Facilitate, identify, and review repeatable testing approach and test cases with Quality Assurance team

- Formulate and foster innovative solutions to complex problems with "to be attained" business knowledge

Desired Skills and Experience:

- JAVA / J2EE (5+ yrs)

- Object Oriented Analysis / Programming (5+ yrs)

- Oracle / SQL or PL/SQL (or any Relational Database)

- Experience with highly distributed SOA based systems

- Experience with mission-critical high volume performance oriented systems

- Experience as a senior technical member on project teams

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.  Master’s Degree preferred.

Major plus if the candidate has any experience with Optimization engines or Statistical Modeling packages:

- CPLEX (or comparable products)

- R or SAS
