Systems Administrator (closed)
This role will be responsible for support of Client’s AppSense and Flexera Admin Studio environment. Will work under the direction of the Lead and Senior Administrators to carry out directed job functions specifically related to support for AppSense and Flexera.
There is an expectation the candidate can work evening and/or weekend hours to support desktop release cycles.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Respond to trouble tickets pertaining to these technologies.
Participate in a monthly release cycle for virtual and physical desktop upgrades.
Follow internal change control guidelines, assisting with creating monthly reports, creating update/upgrade documentation when required.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Configure / add new services as necessary.
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
High school diploma or equivalent
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Expert experience with AppSense
Solid experience with Flexera Admin Studio and Application packaging
Experience with current & prior version Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop methods and tools.
Experience with technical documentation.
Experience with Windows desktop operating systems.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work as a Team player.
Ability to work without daily supervision.
Ability to identify a need and take action without being directed to do so.
