Solutions Architect (closed)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for self-motivated individual to serve in the role of a Solutions Delivery Architect for the Banking Center Architecture team. They will be focused on driving our long-term Information strategy forward while providing short term business value through business initiatives.
This role will support business initiatives and strategic efforts that focus on building and leveraging information assets to improve sales and service activities for our business partners. Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
Responsibilities:
- Drive conceptual architecture design for new initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives are adhering to strategic architecture principles.
- Work with business partners to translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
- Identify technical solutions to business problems and drive to resolution.
- Demonstrate technical solution through prototyping or proof of concepts and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas to achieve adoption.
- Delivery of Solution Architecture Definition (SAD): Define Logical and Physical Architecture for an initiative and identify its alternative approaches.
- Lead vendor product evaluations.
- Help to align and drive the enterprise architecture strategies from a GCSBB perspective.
- Participate in and drive cross-functional, cross discipline architecture teams to enhance / set the architectural direction for key business initiatives.
- Participate in the continued definition of our target Strategies
- Lead vendor product evaluations.
- Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions (Permit to build/Permit to Operate).
- May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Experience interacting directly with business/technology partners and senior management in an advisory capacity required
- Experience leading complex projects across multiple applications, working in a fast paced, ever changing, highly matrixed environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills required (written and verbal)
- Strong presentation development and speaking skills required
- Ability to think at a business strategy level and an enterprise architecture strategy level across a broad domain required
- Experience with SOA and shared business component technology
