Job Description:
This agency needs to make significant changes to the Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS). ODRS is a web based application built using Microsoft technology such as; ASP.NET, .NET 4.0 and SQL 2008.

Duties will include: 
Analyzing requirements, design the solution based on established application architecture and development standards, Establish priorities and schedules, develop and update project plans with key milestones and deliverables as required, Create C# code for ASP.NET forms based application, Create and modify SQL Server stored procedures, triggers & functions. Write SQL code to query, update or extract data, Create unit tests., Participate in system integration testing, fixing bugs and executing test scripts. Participate in system implementation efforts (UAT, test environment setup & end-user support). Write and/or provide content for system documentation. Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools and other environment specific software tools in support of the software development process.

Team environment, good communication skills, and provide weekly status reports to the project lead/manager. Participate in code reviews, walk-throughs, daily stand-ups and other project meetings.

Working Conditions

Majority of work takes place in an office setting; may require off hours or remote access. Due to the nature of the position, must be comfortable in a fast paced, fluid environment.  The ability to sit and work at a keyboard for extended periods of time and communicate with team members by phone, computer, and video teleconferencing is required.
