| Dell Services is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions. Our Federal Government division is looking for a Senior IT Security Engineer for one of their contracts in Bethesda, MD, to support a fast-paced enterprise environment of approximately 4000 end users. As a Senior IT Security Engineer, the individual will be involved in the delivery of new technologies, services and solutions to meet critical customer requirements. The candidate will provide security oversight and engineering recommendations on new development efforts, the network infrastructure, as well as providing quality assurance by ensuring that existing system and network configurations are in line with established security practices. The candidate will be involved with projects that focus on designing and implementing LAN and WAN security technologies, product selection and evaluation, certification and accreditation process. The candidate must be able to work with other engineers on system design as well as provide project briefings to senior level managers and clients. Day-to-day operational duties include: • Firewall Security Policy and System Management • Maintenance and Operations of Security Appliances • Intrusion Prevention, Detection and Remediation • Patch and Vulnerability Management • Security Vulnerability Assessment and Scanning • Manage Enterprise AntiVirus • Provide detailed security reports • Provide security support to customer support staff After hours or weekend work may occasionally be required for pre-planned maintenance or troubleshooting.(m)IND123 |

| • In depth knowledge of and Hands-on experience configuring Firewalls • Hands-on Experience with Intrusion Detection and Prevention • Hands-on Experience with Software Patch Distribution • Hands-on Experience with Vulnerability Scanning and Assessment (e.g. NMAP, NESSUS, etc.) • In depth knowledge of Security policy development (policy, standards, guidelines, procedures) • In depth knowledge of System security auditing • In-depth knowledge of Encryption technologies • In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, etc.) • Experience with Enterprise AntiVirus • In depth knowledge of Security Principles and Best Practices • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong documentation skills • Strong troubleshooting skills |
