Recruiter Comment: VP Fuel Production - Well funded, Award Winning Negative Carbon Fuels Start-Up
Job Description

We are engaged to recruit a VP of Fuel Production for a company that has working technology to produce negative carbon fuels based on plant photosynthesis.  The company can make exact replacements for gasoline that will operate in current cars.  Their proprietary biomass fractionator technology extracts useful hydrocarbons from biomass, leaving behind the excess carbon a high purity solid which can be used to enrich soil.

The person we are seeking has a strong technical background in traditional petrol-chemical refining operations. The VP will have ownership of the gas production process, initially in the pilot plant and will be instrumental in the selection and deployment of the commercial scale production plant(s).  Bearing in mind that this is a start-up, the VP will need to be comfortable rolling up his or her sleeves in a dynamic environment where rapid change is the rule.  If you have run a chemical processing plant, or have gained some experience in a bio-diesel refinery, I would also like to speak with you.

Our client's operations are located in the Los Angeles area and we anticipate a good deal of time will need to be spent at HQ for the first year; however, relocation is not mandatory.  If you are currently living in the Houston area, it would also be a plus.
