The right candidate will have the ability to performance tune, capacity plan and automate administrative tasks with script creation.   Proficiency with Linux administration(SUSE or Redhat) within an ESX environment. 

Responsibilities include, OS upgrades and patching.  Solid AIX hardware knowledge, not any specific hardware, but consistently solid knowledge of AIX hardware necessary.  Excellent  communications, verbal and written. 

Additional pluses for the role are knowledge of IBM Webshere Application Server, working with IBM support, JDBC, Heap, Connection tuning and clustering.  Experience in using IBM support tools for troubleshooting and analysis (examples - heap and thread analysis).
