Project Manager- Packaging Component Specifications

Location:  Somers, NY

Lead all aspects required to drive packaging component specifications to completion.

Lead the day to day activities of other contracted resources to accomplish tasks according to the project timeline.

Responsible to ensure that packaging components and finished goods packaging specifications are complete, robust, and accessible.

Will create/ lead department processes to produce high quality specifications and documentation.

Development of Templates for components including preforms, (Shrink Wrap, Tape, Adhesives, Glass Bottles , and Pallets).

Review / Development of all General Performance and Print Specifications and Test methods for each component Category.

Data/ Drawing collection and rationalization for all components from suppliers and other sources

Product Vision and Supplier approval processes.

Product vision system and documentation management

Conduct first level specification reviews for both technical content and compliance with department documentation standards.

 Understand Packaging for R&D projects

Broad knowledge of packaging materials

Broad knowledge of database and specification systems
