Responsibilities

• Performs installation, configuration and administration of server operating system, SUN One webserver, Oracle weblogic application server, SUN directory servers and IBM MQ servers and other middleware such as JBoss application servers.
• Proactively monitors to ensure web and application server availability
• Problem escalation to respective hardware and software vendors as appropriate
• Performs operating system patches, web, application server service packs, minor, major upgrades, security patches, provides support for major application migration activities.
• Implements changes as requested by the application development team
• Performs operating system, web and application server security configuration and provides support for infrastructure technical audits

 Requirements

• Over 5 years experience in Sun Solaris 10 system Administration in a clustered production environment.
• 2 – 3 years experience in Sun Cluster 3.x installation and administration.
• 2 – 3 years Experience in Oracle Weblogic 8.1 / 10.3 , Sun One webserver 6.x/7.x setup and administration.
• 1-2 years of experience in IBM AIX and IBM Websphere MQ 6.x administration is preferred.
• Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service to meet stringent SLA.
• Practical experience in performance tuning,
