Job Overview

Client is seeking bright, articulate, enthusiastic, detail-oriented applicants with a desire to help us exceed our customers’ expectations. A Software Development Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Technology and is responsible for being part of the team that significantly influences the way we fulfill customer orders, optimize inventory and buying strategies. The an application or enhancement is designed and requires creativity and judgment. The ideal candidate must effectively understand and analyze both technical and business risks and impact, and effectively communicate those risks to the business owners, so that they can make informed decisions.

Position Responsibilities:
• Participation in the full development life cycle, including project scope, requirements gathering, specifications, coding, configuration, testing and deployment
• Work closely with end users to make sure that the application or system meets the needs of the business
• Development of ERP enhancements including the application of experience and vision to create innovative solutions
• Serve as an authority on function and technical issues in designated areas
• Work with a wide variety of technologies
Basic Qualifications
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
• 2-5+ years of related experience in hands-on implementationof more than one full life cycle ERP implementation
• Hands-on experience in JAVA in a Linux environment
• ERP development enhancement and deployment
• Posseses experience in the integration of “front-end” systems, such as web-based eCommerce or POS to fulfillment at the systems (not configuration) level
• Demonstrated experience in the use of Web Services or Messaging Services as an integration tool
• Demonstrated experience in all components of a fully integrated ERP system
o Materials Management and Production systems
o Bar code solutions
o Integration with Planning, Purchasing, Inventory and Accounting
Preferred Qualifications
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Strong oral (speaking, listening, interpretation) and written communication skills
• Experience in a "To Order" fulfillment environment
• Experience in 4GL Language
• Good decision-making, problem solving and follow through skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and handle high volume workload
• Able to work in an ambiguous, "internet-speed" environment
