Local Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company has an opening for an experienced Buyer.  Candidates should have at least 5 years of procurement experience in a EPC  company that specializes in the design and build of chemical, petrochemical and industrial manufacturing plants.  This position will require the individual to be knowledgeable about capital equipment, controls, instrumentation and all other associated items involving the maintenance and construction of new and existing facilities.  The ability to go out into the field and identify specific items will be a big plus.  Individuals must be able to gather information from blueprints, field sketches and drawings.  Tracking of orders and inventories using customer’s preferred procurement software is required.  Direct hire opportunity and salary depends on background and experience.  Engineering degree would be a big plus.
