PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE - 2 YEAR CONTRACT

BS/MS. in Engineering (Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering) or Biological or Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry) or a related discipline, with 1-2 years experience in upstream process development. Responsibilities include technical support of process development with emphasis on cell sciences and technology: Assisting in the execution of bench scale experimentation for the development, optimization and tech transfer of cell culture processes using 1-7L glass bioreactors, 10-50 L disposable bioreactors and shaker flasks; Using analytical equipment including the CEDEX, YSI, BGA and NOVA systems; Assisting in review, analysis, and interpretation of scientific data and results. In addition, the individual will assist with media compounding and treatment as well as assist with the general upkeep of the laboratory. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work in a strong team environment.
